Texas Goose Hunts

Texas goose hunts are based out of Dalhart, TX. Located in the panhandle, Dalhart is a secret paradise for geese that only a few of the most seasoned hunters know about. You will be provided with an experienced guide that is knowledgeable in all aspects of hunting these birds. From setting out decoys to calling em’ in those last few yards, your guide will do all he can to make your hunt the experience of a lifetime.

Currently we have access to over 200,000 acres. Hunts are conducted in several different types of fields. Plowed corn, corn stubble, winter wheat, and milo are the most common.

Hunters will participate in setting up the decoy spread which consists of about 30 dozen decoys of different styles. These include: Real Geese silhouettes, Green Head Gear Full Bodies, G&H Shells, or any others that are in our arsenal.

Texas goose hunts are conducted in the morning over decoys. Although we like to let the birds rest in the evenings, we will sometimes do an evening hunt if the morning hunt was not successful.

Contact Desert Wings or Texas Parks and Wildlife for seasons and regulations and any other information.
